Bell's Palsy and Homeopathy
I have just been diagnosed with Bell’s Palsy and have been recommended to just let it take its course. Is there any supplement that can assist with the recovery?
Also known as Bell’s paralysis, nobody really knows what causes this usually unilateral paralysis of the facial nerve, which then leaves one side of the face rigid and unable to move. It can be both a transient or permanent condition and sufferers may find themselves unable to close one eye or control salivation on the side of the face that has been affected.
In your shoes, I would consider a consultation with a qualified homeopath and not least because, as well as taking a full medical history, the practitioner will want very detailed symptoms of precisely how the condition has manifested itself and how you feel about it, before making a prescription.
Their diagnosis will include, for example, how the paralysis of one side of the face is affecting the other side to treat the whole. And, of course, you can safely use homeopathic medicines alongside prescription ones.
To find a doctor who is also a qualified homeopath, call The British Homeopathic Association on 08704 443950. For other qualified homeopaths, call The Society of Homeopaths on 01604 817890.
