Arterial blockages - how to reduce them
Last year, I had an arterial scan which revealed some 30% blockages in my arterties. Although this is not yet serious, I would like to reduce it. Is there anything that will “scour” the arteries and remove these blockages?
I recommend you start your treatment programme by reading a book called Why Animals Don’t Get Heart Attacks but People Do by the controversial but pioneering American holistic medical practitioner, Dr Matthias Rath.
He maintains that since humans, unlike animals, cannot make vitamin C in their bodies but must get it from their diet, cardiovascular problems are not disease but signs of a deficiency in this important nutrient and argues that since this is easily remedied by taking supplementation, these conditions are easily reversible.
The coronary calcifications or arterial deposits you have had diagnosed grow at the rate of 44% (i.e. almost half again each year) and in trials reported in the American Journal of Applied Nutrition, Dr Rath proved his theory. When 55 patients took a specially-devised vitamin programme, including up to 3g of vitamin C, for six months, this trend was reversed and the arterial calcium deposits in some patients actually disappeared.
This is a high dosage of vitamin C - the recommended upper limit is 2g per day. A higher dose will not harm you but you may suffer from an upset stomach if you take more than 2g per day. You can check out more of Dr Rath’s work and views by visiting his website www.dr-rath-research.org.
