Applied Kinesiology and amalgams

For as long as I can remember, I’ve suffered from fatigue, water retention and irritability - all of which, I’ve been told by various therapists, is caused by dental amalgam toxicity. I’ve heard that in Australia, chiropractors using Applied Kinesiology have had good results with this problem. Can you tell me about this type of healing and recommend an experienced therapist in London?

Kinesiology uses a form of muscle testing to “read” the body and analyse the functioning of internal organs and energy channels. Mercury poisoning can affect the health of these organs, hence the link you’ve heard of. The aim is to release energy blocks, eliminate toxins, reduce tensions and enhance the body’s own healing abilities. Having assessed the extent of the problem, the practitioner will correct any imbalance, often using nutrition, massage and natural remedies to treat you.

Most Applied Kinesiology Practitioners (AK) have some medical qualification and although other practitioners must use a different name, the principles are the same. Helen Williams (0181-390 3604) is a London Kinesiologist who charges £35 for an initial 11/2hr consultation. To find a practitioner in your area, write to The Association of Systematic Kinesiology, 39, Browns Road, Surbiton, Surrey KT5 8ST, enclosing £1 worth of loose stamps.
