Natural cosmetics
My girlfriends and I are all looking for a good natural range of beauty products and make-up but since we are students, we cannot pay sky-high prices.
You need to call a company called Martha Hill (0800 980 6662; www.beautynaturals.com) and order the Beauty Naturals catalogue which includes natural make-up, skincare and excellent herbal remedies for conditions too numerous to list here.
Far from jumping on the bandwagon of natural health, this company has been established for 60 years and has gone from strength to strength with the launch of the skin revivals range, aluminium-free deodorants and natural hair care ranges.
Martha Hill is a name anyone who was on the London scene in the 1960s will remember since the late founder of the company, who died at the age of 93 in the summer, was a fashion designer dressing Twiggy and the Rolling Stones. Her interest in natural skincare was triggered when she bought a farm, started experimenting with herbs and met a Swiss Chemist who helped her launch her first skincare range.
Another thing I like a lot about this company are the prices; the rosewater skin tonic, for example, is just £5.20 for 150ml and the elderflower eye contour gel is £6 for 30ml; plus most of the products also come in a cheaper travel-size pot.
