HRT and blood pressure
I have been taking HRT for 14 years and at my last check-up, my blood pressure was found to be very high. I am now thinking about coming off the HRT but is there something I can take for the blood pressure along with an alternative?
The Chinese plant remedy I want to recommend to help lower high blood pressure has now been described by US botanical experts as one of the most important medicinal plant discoveries ever made.
Erigeron breviscapinus is the name of this plant which has been formulated to produce a supplement called Lifeflower, which I first wrote about a year or so ago when it was launched in the UK to help stroke patients recover. I did not at that time, emphasise the fact that since it works to support the entire cardiovascular system, it can also help lower high blood pressure which is a common problem but which a third of all sufferers may not realise they have.
If you do decide to stop taking HRT and are seeking a good alternative that we know from empirical evidence (i.e. satisfied users and repeat orders) really works then switch to Menoherb; as the name implies, a herbal remedy that to my mind provides the perfect wish-list of hormone-balancing herbs in safe but therapeutic dosages that can help manage the more common symptoms of menopause.
Both these remedies are available from UK specialist Victoria Health (0800 413596). Lifeflower, which has been tested in hundreds of clinical trials in China, costs £29.95 for 30 x 200mg capsules. Take as directed on the bottle. Menoherb costs £18.95 for 90 capsules. Again, take as directed on the label.
