Helicobacter pylori treatment

I am a 49-year-old female. In the past four years, I have been diagnosed with an Helicobacter pylori infection three times and prescribed antibiotics each time. What can I do to stop this happening again? Are there any alternative remedies or special diets I should follow?

Not only is there a simple alternative remedy, I can tell you how you can heal your ulcer tissue so successfully, it will be as if you never had this condition at all. I rarely use the phrase “miracle cure” in complementary health since it can raise false hopes - but with Mastic gum, I make an exception.

Highly prized for its medicinal properties in ancient Greece - where the penalty for stealing it was a swift amputation of the ears, nose or limbs - mastic is the resin from a native tree which you can now buy as Mastic gum in your local health store.

Most stomach ulcers, as you now know, are not caused by stress or bad diets but by a bacteria called Helicobacter pylori, which causes inflammation and pain when it burrows into the lining of the stomach and small intestine.

Laboratory tests have shown that mastic can not only kill off this bacteria but that in 70% of ulcer sufferers taking it, the damaged tissue repairs itself so well it is as if there never was an ulceration. Nobody can explain how it heals the problem but even low doses - just 1mg a day for two weeks - can bring about a rapid cure of ulcers.

Of course antibiotics can do the same job but they can also damage the lining of the gut, especially if you take them long term. The beauty of mastic is that it is totally natural and safe and there are no side-effects.

* Mastica provides 500mg of mastic gum.120 capsules cost £24.95. Take three a day, between meals. Mail order from Revital (0800-252875) and add £1.50 p&p. If you have a bleeding ulcer, you will need surgery.
