Glandular fever
My eight-year-old grandson has glandular fever with all the usual symptoms, which has been confirmed by blood tests. His GP can offer no medication. Can you suggest any remedies that might be helpful to him?
On my travels through New Zealand earlier this year, I came across an excellent organic range of herbal tinctures, which included a combined olive leaf and kiwi fruit anti-viral remedy that is now available here.
Formulated Vitalife, (www.nzvitalife.co.nz) a company set up by English doctor, Caroline Fowler, and her New Zealand husband, Andrew, (who has a background in agriculture); the couple work in partnership with the Maori to produce this award-winning range in the North Island.
Kiwi fruit is a better source of immune-boosting vitamin C than oranges so, as well as working to boost his natural defences, the olive leaf will help counter the Epstein Barr Virus (EPV) which is responsible for glandular fever, known as “kissing disease” since it more commonly affects teenagers.
