Epstein Barr virus and cat's claw
I am one of those GPs your readers come to every week clutching your column. I love the page and am writing to ask if you think cat’s claw is the best treatment for the Epstein Barr virus? Is there a herbal information service which your readers’ GPs could refer to?
I have just picked myself up off the floor from the shock of getting a complimentary letter from a GP - my last medical correspondent wrote to say he would be offering his services to the prosecution when someone finally prosecuted me for trying to kill everyone.
Thank you for your vote of confidence!
Cats Claw or Una de gato (which is its Spanish name) is sold as an immune stimulant but to rid the body of an Epstein Barr infection, I would always try the English herb, Elderberry first since it acts specifically against this virus. If not available at your local healthstore, mail order Nutrition Now’s raspberry-flavoured Elderberry Support from Victoria Health (0800-413596). The Herbal Advice Line, staffed by trained Medical Herbalists is on 0906-802 0117.
