Distilled water
I was rather puzzled by the instruction to drink distilled water every day that you published in reply to a question on prostate health, (January 31, 1999). Surely you mean filtered water or spring water?
No, I meant distilled water. Distillation involves vaporising the water by boiling it. The steam rises leaving behind most of the bacteria, viruses, chemicals, minerals and pollutants from the water. The steam is then moved into a condensing chamber where it is cooled and condensed to become distilled water.
The point of consuming distilled water is that it leaches inorganic minerals rejected by the cells and tissues out of the body. Many nutritionists believe you should only ever drink steam-distilled water. You can flavour your drinks with lemon juice, which has excellent cleansing properties, or with raw apple cider vinegar which will aid digestion.
