HRT replacementI am in my late fifties and have always been fit and well. I had been happily taking HRT for six years until last year, when I came off it after deciding the risks could outweigh the benefits. I am now suffering the kind of aches and pains that my contemporaries complain of, and while my doctor has ruled out any serious inflammatory condition, I want to take something that makes me feel as well as I used to. Hysterectomy resulting in chronic painNine years ago, I had a hysterectomy which left me with chronic pain. IgA NethropathySix months ago, I was diagnosed as having a kidney disease called IgA Nethropathy. The symptoms, which include high blood pressure, are being kept under control with tablets (Istin). My consultant says I will not get better but that I should be able to control this condition so that I don’t feel sick and can lead a normal life. He also suggested cranberry juice might help.
